Summer is in full swing! Relaxing and enjoying the nice weather is great for kids, however, children who don’t engage in educational activities over the summer stand to lose an average of 2.6 months of academic growth.Research shows that teachers typically spend between 4-6 weeks reteaching material that students have forgotten over the summer I call this the Summer BrainDrain!

My son enjoyed the music and science...after a while my daughter heard some Spanish and had to check it out. They did some simple match up Spanish to English.
There are hours of actives to do on-line as well as links to site where I can make print outs. I especially liked the poetry worksheets. I like the fact that it as grades K-12 There are many pre-K and grade school sites I am aware of from teaching, but finding sites that interest my daughter in 6th grade is always a shot in the dark just using a web search--HOW can I be sure it's right for her. Using PowerMyLearning I can be confident in my choice or leave it up to her she can take charge of her learning process. I can connect her account to mine and I will see reports showing the activities she is using.
Over all the site receives a 5 of 5 stars!!
Very interesting site...saves alot of guess work for us parents =)
