ReplyDeleteI have to say most memorable moment was when my brother built a cat walk all around the rec room for our cats. One corner had a multi shelf area with a huge scratching post in the center. Three cats could run for hours on it!!

My cat pretty much will knock over anything and everything if she sees a fly or bug. One night she knocked over a whole floor lamp trying to climb it to get to a bug in the corner of a room.

Most memorable pet moment is when my cat (almost 21) was nearing end of life. She was barely able to get up one night and clearly her body was shutting down. She used every last drop of energy to come into the bathroom as I was taking a shower and curled up on my clothes before I could get them in the was. She wanted to be near me as she went so I sat with her and let her know it was OK to let go and I was there for her this time. (She was always there for me during a very rough patch!) After about 15 minutes her tiny body trembled slightly and she took her last breath. I was devastated but I knew she was not suffering anymore. It has been 5 years and I still miss her dearly! She was such a character and made life interesting.

ReplyDeleteLast year we got a kitty for my kids -the pure joy on the kids face was priceless. I could also tell that little furbaby was so HAPPY to have a home, the first few days she was always ready for snuggles with some member of the family.
