UPDATED 2018
I've been a blogger for a while and one thing I always enjoy reading when I find a new blog is the "About Me" section---ironically I didn't have one ---That's about to change!
I started out as a child... and I never really grew up! I was born in 1974 the oldest of two children raised in a very strict Christian home, in a suburb of Buffalo NY.( insert any joke about snow, the Buffalo Bills, or knowing how to pronounce any last name ending in "ski" ) We didn't have a TV- Books, Old Time Radio and comedy records were our entertainment. It didn't bother me much, our family was very involved in Church activities and sports. In other words kept so busy to think I was missing out.
In my late teens and early 20's and I started to resent my "religious restrictions" and I had the opportunity to leave home to become a live in Nanny. I had been working as a cook in a Nursing home and wasn't happy. I was also finishing up my degree in Early Education so I could start my dream job as a Teacher. I jumped at the Nanny position , for those few years I enjoyed what I though was FREEDOM. A tragic event that had a great impact on my life opened my eyes to see how much more peace I gained having Christ in my life then not. Not trying to preach to anyone--that was my personal feeling.
The children I was with had both started school and the family didn't need a live in Nanny anymore. I found a job as a pre K teacher's assistant and moved back home. I was also at the point in my life where I knew I was ready to start a family and I wanted a Christian husband. As it happened a young man in my Grandmother's neighborhood was searching for a christian wife. Dave and I met on a blind date at Denny's....and the rest is history as they say.
After three months of dating Dave asked me to marry him and we were married about a year later, on September 4,1999. We both wanted to start a family right away, but it was not the road set before us. I moved up from a teaching assistant to lead teacher and the time with the children was wonderful. Hubby was a great sport in dressing up for Holiday parties at my school.
Yet we both had a longing desire to become parents. In October of 2001, while the world was still reeling in shock over the horrific event in September our family received some much anticipated news - A new Rote would be joining us soon. After much MUCH sickness my Daughter made her appearance- I took a year off of work to stay home, but we had bought our first home with in that year, and I went back to work part time, at a shop in the local mall. Soon I discovered the family would be growing some more. In 2005 my Son completed our lil family.
Shares will be done within two weeks of receiving the product and spread out over a three to four day period.

This is Us 2018 |
I worked through the holiday season that year and then decided that financially, there was NO benefit to paying for child care. I became a full time stay at home Mom. This was also the beginning of my Blogging journey. I had first called it A note Rote- Nap time became my social hour...mostly I started entering giveaways, and reading Mom blogs, soon started sharing reviews about products I used at home. I started a section called Pam's Playhouse where I shared some lesson plans from my time as a teacher.
I found some great social communities that introduced me to sites where I could get products for reviewing and the blog became more focused on Product reviews with little peeks into my family life-thus ReviewsSheROTE was born.
~update~
I have a love for Fashion, but not really the body that is fit for a runway,
Having found out I have some health issues, (one big one not life treating, but has no cure, but I could loose my eyesight!!) I started making some dietary changes and adding more physical activity to my day & had lost a bit of weight, then I was introduced to LuLaRoe. The clothes were just what I needed at that time. I joined a few on-line groups of other woman who love style and another world was open up to me.
I still do product reviews, but now I also enjoy sharing my #MomStyle. Kids are older and very involved in school and sports...SOCCER ALL YEAR, now I have more energy to keep up with them, then I used to.
As the great Paul Harvey ( <~~ remember raised on radio ! ) would say ...and now you know the rest of the story!
now for the business side- I keep it rather simple:
