In my last Happiness is... post I had a photo of my son with his Hamburger birthday cake . I've been getting many complements about it and thought I'd share how I did it This cake is surprisingly simple to make.
Things You'll Need
Yellow cake mixes
Chocolate cake mix
Icings Red,Yellow,Green
Preheat the oven according to the directions on a box of cake mix.
Prepare the cake mix according to the directions on the cake mix box. Use one box of yellow mix and one of chocolate. Pour the mixes into two 9-inch round cake pans each that have been coated with non-stick spray.
Place one of the yellow cakes on the serving plate. This will serve as the bottom bun of the hamburger. Adda layer of green icing between the bottom bun and the "hamburger" Yo do not have to worry about dripping the more uneven at the edges the more "REAL" it will look Place one round of chocolate cake on top of the yellow cake to serve as the hamburger patty.
Dripping red and yellow icing on the chocolate cake will make the hamburger looks as if it's covered in ketchup and mustard.
Use the last piece of yellow cake as the rounded bun top. Trim the edges if necessary to resemble a bun.Try to keep these pieces large enough that you can make the "fries" Place this on top of the hamburger and "condiments." Ice the top yellow cake with a tan icing to make it the color of a hamburger bun and place sliced almonds on the top to simulate sesame seeds.
The fries are just the extra pieces from the top bun in cut and wrapped a pieces of parchment paper around and places a dab of red icing next to them.
Here's that cute photo one more time =D
