#StarKistTunaPouch its what for lunch

This review is 100% my own opinion and I was not compensated by any company mentioned for it.

As a member of crowdtap I get to hear about some great products. One I learned about was StarKist Tuna Creations...look so good I had to go get some for myself.  Yesterday  for lunch I had a StarKist Sweet & Spicy Tuna Taco. Made with the single serve pouch tuna that's seasoned with peppers and sweet onion. Added a little salad mix and a pinch  of shredded cheese.  De-LISH!!!

I'm REALLY  trying to make healthier choices for my meals so at 90 calories per pouch this is one lunch you don't have to feel guilty about! I also love the pouch because as the only member of my family who enjoys Tuna there is no waste!

Also available in 4 other flavorful varieties, that I cannot wait to try.

Let Your Light Shine.

This is a bit of a rant and praise post all in one-A BIG departure from a normal RSR post; BARE WITH ME! If your not a believer feel free to read but PLEASE NO NEGATIVE response-I'm not posting this to start a debate...

2013 was not a good year for us--Hubby started out unemployed.

The first  week in Jan I took a fall down some icy steps with out insurance DR bills were OOP

Around Feb hubby did eventually find a job that was a big cut in pay, we had to stay on state assistance--VERY TOUGH ON MY HUBBY.

Then in October they laid him off!! I know this was going to be another sparse Holiday Season.

(but I'm thrifty and enter a lot of giveaways so we'll get through)

a week after Hubby was laid off our fridge and sewer system busted.

Thankfully Hubby was able to find another job within a month - yet again taking a cut in pay.

Then on BLACK FRIDAY my children and I were in a car accident- we came out with some minor whip-lash but our car was totaled. On the hunt for a replacement.  =(

As I stated at the beginning of the post rant and PRAISE--
the past two weeks our Sunday sermons have been a study on giving praise...in EVERYTHING!!!! While it's NEVER easy to do right in the midst of it all one of the biggest lessons I'm learning is I need to be a prism of GOD's love and light. With all that our family has been through there are many out there that have gone through much MUCH worse this year. As long as I can learn to remember God has brought me through tough times in the past and he can do it again-I want to get through it shining a light not dragging my heels singing a "pity me tune"

A clay pot sitting in the sun will always be a clay pot. It has to go though the white heat of the furnace to become porcelain.--- This season is one of fire for me and my family ---so in the future we can shine.

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

James 1:3&4
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Who inspires you?

I'm sharing this post as a challange from Coffee-mate Brew Crew

Share who inspires you most.
How did that person impact your life?

MY MOM
She's the one who's had the most impact in all the choices I've made.

#1 She put her faith first....even when it meant having family turn away---Her father even refused to give her away at her wedding! Thankfully in time things did mend and they are closer now...but for year is was very tough.

#2 aside from GOD her family (my dad, brother, and me)  everything she did was to make one or all of us as happy as she could. Now with the grand babies-there just another generation to spread her love too.

#3 she wanted to stay home but knew my Dads job alone would cut it -- She started her own child care right in our home. There was one summer we had 7 kids that were coming on different days--it was great playmates for my brother and I

#4 I've seen her struggle over the last few years with physical and mental issues, that I'll not get into very deeply, but even at her darkest moment(and they've been pretty low) she'd call me or my brother just to say "I Love You!!

#5 She inspiries me because watching her I feel there is HOPE FOR ME AS A MOM!

Dr Oz. 28 Day Plan Final Days

Comming to the end of Dr.Oz's 28 Day plan...I hope you've enjoyed all these tips as much as I have. Doing them all REALLY can make  a great improvement in you MIND, SOUL, and BODY!

DAY 26  STRETCH!!!!!!

It will improve your flexibility, of course—but it will also make you stronger. All you need is seven to ten minutes every morning when you get out of bed. You can make up your own routine or use Dr. Oz's

The Hippie

Pretend your head weighs 500 pounds, and let it pull you down. Bend one knee and hold for 15 seconds, then change legs

The Pecs Flex

As you lift your hands as high as possible, squeeze your shoulder blades together and open your chest.

The Leaning Tower

Try to elongate your body by creating the greatest amount of distance possible between your left pinkie and your left heel. Hold for 15 seconds, then switch sides

Day 27 Pledge NEVER to be Hungry!!

Trying to find a nutritious snack when you're on the go is setting yourself up for failure and to spend CASH you don't need to-- Instead, make it a point to always travel with satisfying eats- seeds- sunflower and pumpkin are great. Nuts like  almonds, peanuts, or pistachio...mix them up to make a great trail mix. Take a piece of fruit or veggies with a little dip. You'll be doing your body and wallet good.

and back to the first day we started with...but its worth repeating

Day 28 Spread Kindness

Help a stranger with directions. Hold the elevator doors. Unburden someone struggling to hoist groceries into the car. You know lending a hand can boost your mood, but it cascades outward, influencing up to three more degrees of helpful people- PAY IT FORWARD

Need to catch up on any of the day---CLICK HERE

28 Day plan--update

If you've read any of my last few post you know I've been really inspired by Dr.Oz. 28-Day plan...if you need to catch up CLICK HERE

Well after reading and wanting to do EVERYTHING I so my  New Years Resolution is to follow the plan. In reading I found a few steps that I just wanted to rearrange....for me it just made the plan flow better so today I'm sharing Day 3 & 7.

Day 3 Cook for your Heart

Promote good blood flow by incorporating these foods in to your meals. Salmon, Tomatoes, Garlic, and Lima Beans.
Salmon is full of omega-3--works like your arterial handyman. Tomatoes are good for your blood pressure. Garlic is though to protect from harding of the arteries and Lima Beans contain magnesium that's good for easing any stress on your heart.

A new lunch for me now is a piece of salmon with a hearty salad  lots o tomatoes, and a BIG glass of water. YUM  =^D

Day 7 Write every bite scribble every nibble!!!!!

Write down EVERYTHING!!!! Even the bites you take while cooking!!!!
Its so EZ to mindlessly munch! People who keep track of every bite have been shown to loose twice as much as those who don't.

I got myself a mini composition book and jot every thing down...if I grab something while I'm out or without the book---write it down ASAP---along with that my trainer said I should have a glass of water before every meal, so I have water at the top of my page and tally every cup-- I SHOULD have 3 glass for sure...an interesting side note from  Mayo Clinic.com

Every day you lose water through your breath, perspiration, urine and bowel movements. For your body to function properly, you must replenish its water supply by consuming beverages and foods that contain water.

So how much fluid does the average, healthy adult living in a temperate climate need? The Institute of Medicine determined that an adequate intake (AI) for men is roughly 3 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day. The AI for women is 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day.

If you exercise or engage in any activity that makes you sweat, you need to drink extra water to compensate for the fluid loss. An extra 400 to 600 milliliters (about 1.5 to 2.5 cups

I strive for at least 5 cups of water and 2 glass of juice...remember you're getting fluids from fruits and veggies too and even the not so good drinks like coffee, soda ,beer and wine all have water.

I hope if you read these post you'll be incouraged to take these small steps -- I know they will make BIG differences.
