helped educators plan memorable field trips. There were three summer camps visiting the same day we did--A LOT OF CHILDREN!! Be prepared to wait to do some of the actives, there are multiple stations so the lines move swiftly.

PowerMyLearning website REVIEW

Summer is in full swing! Relaxing and enjoying the nice weather is great for kids, however, children who don’t engage in educational activities over the summer stand to lose an average of 2.6 months of academic growth.Research shows that teachers typically spend between 4-6 weeks reteaching material that students have forgotten over the summer I call this the Summer BrainDrain!
This is a “sponsored post.” The company who sponsored it compensated me via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value to write it. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255
: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

It's important get that brain on a summertime work out schedule!
Luckily, preventing Summer BrainDrain can be fun with PowerMyLearning.  A free website with everything your children need to get ahead for the upcoming school year!  You kids will have so much fun they will not even realize they are learning. The site provides educational online games that incorporate things your child already loves such as animals, music, and even fashion.

My son enjoyed the music  and science...after a while my daughter heard some Spanish and had to check it out. They did some simple match up Spanish to English.

After the kids had some time "playing"  I went through the site myself. The site has a brake down for the student , teachers, and parents.

There are hours of actives to do on-line as well as links to site where I can make print outs. I especially liked the poetry worksheets. I like the fact that it as grades K-12 There are many pre-K and grade school sites I am aware of from teaching, but finding sites that interest my daughter  in 6th grade is always a shot in the dark just using a web search--HOW can I be sure it's right for her. Using PowerMyLearning I can be confident in my choice or leave it up to her  she can take charge of her learning process. I can connect her account to mine and I will see reports showing the activities she is using.

Over all the site receives a 5 of 5 stars!!

Childrens Book REVIEW " Princess Ruby's Make-Up Ballet Class"

story description

Kids (even princesses) have moments of being brave every day. Often it goes unnoticed, even to them.

In Princess Ruby's Make-Up Ballet Class, Princess Ruby tackles a new and seemingly scary situation and learns what it really means to be brave in everyday life.

- A great way to help children gain a healthy perspective on things that are new and uncomfortable.
- a Glossary Of Dance Terms used by this princess ballerina.

The book is not only a great way to encourage children to try something new but it also shows how the Queen was very in-tune to her child's feelings...as parent it's good to be encouraging but not assertive.
It is very simple to read and the glossary of Dance terms is VERY helpful  the pictures are wonderful done and full of color they will keep any princess interested!

If you have a dancer or lil princesses she will surely LOVE this book!!!
