WW 7/17 Family Fun #Artpark

Families flock to Artpark for hours of hands-on discovery and fun with weekly themed workshops and live performances! A variety of "Make and Take" workshops are available at each and every installment of Family Saturdays- no matter the theme. These Artpark classics include, The Paint Space, Costume Closet, Sand Box, Face Painting, and the Pottery Wheel.

My kids had a day off of school on Friday , so they made some flowers to deco around the house for springtime. Son was the painter and daughter went the crafty route and made duck-tape flowers!!! I love having crafty kids NEVER have to buy decorations for the house!! =)

Crafting Fun with Yard sale find

Saturdays are yard sale days around here---With only a few nice weekends we like to hit as many as we can. I find some great holiday deco, small items to put together great gift baskets for birthdays & holidays and some times even great crafting items---We found an estate sale of a BINGO NUT and my mind went to a great craft to use up some old coffee filters and the bingo dabbers =)

When we got home the kids kept busy......

after they dried we put the clothes pin in the center and made butterflies.

my daughter even tried them out on a rock....COOL

Then it was time to dip in the pool.......................

Frugal Art

I just recives a new sofa for Mother's Day. Very MUCH need, the style is a bit more modern then our other hand me down, so I wasn't very happy with the art pieces on the wall... and art is not cheep.....THEN it hit me --I've got two of the best modern artist living right in my home-MY KIDS

My plan for the new gallery wall is to hit the thrift shops and yard sales in the nest few weeks  find as many photo frames I can, give them a JET black covering and frame some of my childrens materpieces. I'm also going to dig up some of my old art pieces from my parents celler---thank goodness they never throw things away  =D
