Slow Cooker Breakfast #healthy #foodie #foodporn for #ValentineDay

Want to make your Valentine Breakfast in Bed but you also know that  one of  their New Years Resolutions is to eat better. Have I got a dish that's EZ PZ for you and they will LOVE !!

Slow Cooker Breakfast Casserole is a low carb recipe that's high in nutrition. This healthy breakfast casserole is mouth watering! Swap the frozen hash browns for fresh broccoli florets. You definitely will NOT miss those starchy and salty potatoes. Combining with whipping cream make this casserole incredibly light and fluffy. With the addition of Cheddar cheese and  turkey sausage links, this dish is also super hearty. It's so easy to make, too. If you have the sort of slow cooker that you can program, set this to cook overnight and then stay on warm, for a filling, hot breakfast  it will be a delicious reason  for you Valentine NOT to get out of bed.

  • 1 medium head broccoli, chopped
  • 1 12-oz package your favorite Turkey Sausage , cooked and sliced
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar, divided
  • 10 eggs
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  1. Grease the ceramic interior of a 6 quart slow cooker well.
  2. Layer one half of the broccoli, half of the sausage and half of the cheese into the slow cooker. Repeat with remaining broccoli, sausage and cheese.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, whipping cream, garlic, salt and pepper until well combined. Pour over layered ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours, until browned on the edges and set in the center.
