Great DIY Toilet Cleaning Hack.

How often do you open up the water tank
of your toilet? Not often I bet.

But if you take a look at the depths....it's a breeding
ground for hard water stains, mold,
 mildew and bacteria.

 NASTY!!

So now when I start my DEEP toilet cleaning
venture, I start with the water tank to help keep
 my toilet bowl cleaner
between uses. Pour 1 cup of vinegar into the
tank. Allow to sit while you clean.
Then flush 2-3 times to rinse out the tank.
**You definitely do not want to leave vinegar in your
tank for a long period of time. It will start eroding
 your metal components.

This EASY DIY Lemon Rosemary Toilet Cleaner really
 works.

Only 4 ingredients too.
For the bowl -

Vinegar
Baking Soda
Essential oil - Rosemary
Essential oil -Lemon

Mix ½to 1 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of vinegar
plus a few drops of each oil into the toilet bowl then
 scrub with your toilet brush.

Spotless & smells pretty fantastic too.

Having a routine cleaning schedule for the toilet
tank can help keep your bathroom fresh and your
toilet in working order. Cleaning the tank at
least twice a year will dramatically reduce the
buildup of debris and stop the production
 of mold.

I've got to #Upcycle That! Ideas and Inspiration from Pinterest

Finding new  ways I can do more to GO GREEN is a goal every year for me. As Earth Day (4/22) approaches I look to Pinterest for some creative "UP CYCLES" I could try out this year.

What Is Upcyling? It is the process of converting old or discarded materials into something useful and often beautiful.

Here are a few that got my attention.

Shared by Jess Abbott > Sewing Rabbit  PIN HERE UP CYCLE BABY  BLANKET TO PJ's!

CUTE in theory but
Son blanket has felt so much love
this one might not work

UP CYCLING CLOTHES is HUGE in our house...thrift shopping can lead to some great deals on T-Shirts that daughter and I just love but might not fit or have small holes so we see if  they can be given a new life.

Check out this  fun board Shared by: Melissa C. Loving this T-Shirt up cycle.

I know this is a style my daughter
would try- Check out one she did

VVVVV

Shared by Jody R  - this pin is one I MUST TRY!

Just a few more that look fun!

If you don't  after seeing some of these amazing transformations would you give it a try?

Liquid chalk markers are a creative way to decorate for a party! #DIY #review

In a few week we are celebrating my Daughters 13th B-Day! One thing she requested was an Ice Cream bar. I found these cute small bowls and with some chalkboard stickers I can label all the fun toppings. I like how easy Kitchen Supreme  liquid chalk works.

A Liquid chalk pen has a  reversible tip (chisel for fine detail art work and bullet for free writing and coloring) filled with Natural, Rich and Professional Ink- When you use for the fisrt time you will have to pump the markers to get the ink flowing-- we had to do about 25 good pumps!!
I can erase this chalk marker with a damp cloth so I can reuse my cute lil bowls.

Perfect for chalkboard labels, but you can write on any surface-including vinyl, glass, mirrors, metal-or bedroom doors!!!

The DIY usage   for liquid chalk is endless here is just a peek at a few other ideals I found on Pinterest that I'm going to try! These can be bought on Amazon for under $25  I don't think we'll use regular chalk on DIY project ever again!

#SpringDIY CRAFT great for Mother's Day Gift.

RECYCLED POST-Great Green Craft Idea-

A while back I posted this craft my kids made with  our Children's Church group. It's the interspersion for this great Mother's Day DIY Craft post. It's a super fun craft to do on Earth Day, My daughter and her cousin were all to happy to help put a photo tutorial together.

Here's the inspiration piece

YOU'LL NEED

Clear contact paper
Scissors/cutting board
Hot Glue Gun & Glue
craft sticks -at least 8 to make the frame...more if you include them in you picture
For the "inside" should be a pretty flat objects you may have from other projects  stickers, shredded tissue paper, artificial flowers
item or two for the outside of the frame
ribbon
bowl of ice

First step--make sure you have a good clean clear surface to work near an outlet.

Next you have to glue four craft sticks
to make two frames... one for top
one for bottom.

Then you are  going to cut squares from the contact paper sized to the square shape you make from the craft sticks. You'll need two one for the top and one for the bottom.

add your flowers -contact paper is sticky side up-...or what ever you like- the first project the kids did they used greens, this time my daughter wanted pretty color.

She broke craft sticks to make steams and added
the Crinkle Paper  as grass

then you place you frame on the contact paper sticky side
In this photo you can see sort of the
best way to make your frame is to make sure
the corners are done in a over on one
corner and under on the other pattern

you'll need to place two dabs of hot glue on your bottom frame and add the ribbon.

 WATCH YOUR FINGERS!!!!

Having that bowl with a few ice pieces- HELPS

add glue to each corner so you can place the top frame (contact paper sticky side down)

Press together
you may have some edges to clean up, then you can add
the artificial flower, or in this case butterfly...
AND YOUR DONE!!!

You see how cute the finished project looks!!!

Mom will love it!
