Living in the same area my whole life; I'm glad to have places that we've made some great family memories for generations.
Griffis Sculpture Park in Ashford Hollow. The Park features more than 250 works of art created by over 100 artists spans over 425-acres! It is a collection of strange, sculptures set among a beautiful backdrop of rolling hills, ponds, and forests. One of the many little gems we like to visit and make summer memories.

Another gem that's nearby is Sonnenberg Gardens. Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park is one of the nation's most extensively preserved country estates from the Victorian era. This 50 acre site features beautiful formal and informal gardens, a historic mansion; greenhouse complex and beautiful views of Canandaigua Lake. This was a place my parents loved and took us as kids...being a lover of ALL that is the Victorian era- I could never get enough of the place.
There is a kids’ trail with a very creative scavenger hunt that covers the entire grounds. When your child completes the card, he or she can turn it in for a prize at the admissions desk.

Why do I think I have been to that park with the statues---what cities is it near? It certainly does look like something I would love to do.
ReplyDeleteBuffalo is the closest BIG city...it's address is listed as East Otto NY
