My children's school runs a Mmulticultural Festival at the beginning of every school year.
There is dancing, food samples and wonderful various actives from all over the world. They try to make sure that countries that represent the cultures of the student body are represented. IT IS LOADS OF FAMILY FUN!!!

I wish all schools did this! We used to have programs like this at my college, but I have never seen one at an elementary or high school, and I think children could really benefit from being introduced to different cultures early on
ReplyDeleteAs a future teacher this is an awesome idea to me. If we can show our kids that differences are what makes us special they could become more accepting of others.
