Great Gift for Easter Baskets BESIDES Candy

With Easter fast approaching I thought I'd share a a great alternative to candy

BOOKS!! Here are a few new titles from Sky Pony Press

Gorillas in Our Midst is a humorous picture book for kids aged 3 to 6. It’s a great read aloud book for schools and at home. Sometimes you simply need a funny story to read together and this one, without any definitive message, will make story time a time of giggles for both adults and children!

Fans of Divergent, The Hunger Games, and The City of Ember will not be disappointed by The LoudnessThis stunning, fast-paced, punk-rock dystopian middle grade novel will propel young readers into another world where superheroes emerge from the unlikeliest people.Henry and his new renegade friends are forced from the colorful streets and underground rock clubs of the Other Side to an overcrowded capital city on the verge of collapse. As Henry uncovers more about the conflicting forces that run his corner of the world, he realizes that not everyone is who they seem to be—himself included—and recognizes that his artificial heart may turn out to be more of a blessing than a curse.

Trouble in Zombie-town: The Mystery of Herobrine, An Unofficial Minecrafter’s Adventure  is the fourth book in the hugely popular Gameknight999 series but the first in the The History of Herobrine arc. While many favorite characters are back, they will be embarking on different exciting adventures and meeting brand new friends and foes. When one of his father’s inventions went haywire, Gameknight999 found himself sucked into and trapped in the world of Minecraft. After returning to the real world, Gameknight vowed to never return to Minecraft. But when his little sister, Monet113, accidently enters the game herself, he finds himself once again entering a digital world where real danger lies around every corner.

  1. I love the idea of something besides candy for baskets. My kids already have poor tooth health. These look good!

  2. I remember on these big holidays, I would stash away the candy and be eating it a little at a time for months. Too much sugar always made me sick.

  4. Great ideas! And please, no more candy! It took me awhile to get rid of the ones we got from Halloween, haha. :)

  5. Growing up I very rarely got candy in my Easter baskets. With a family with a genetic disposition to severe Periodontal Disease, gum disease, and mass rotting teeth in which I have unfortunately not been spared from, I always got fruit and a few small gifts in my basket.

  6. These are awesome gifts for Easter instead of candy. I think it is okay to have a chocolate bunny and a couple little gifts in the basket. Maybe a few jellybeans too. Thanks for sharing.

  8. Finally, a gift basket that isn't full of sweets. I love Easter, but all that candy business is wearing.
