Lewiston Art Festival in Western NY

This weekend there was a local art festival and they has some great  chalk artist from local high schools. The Lewiston Art Festival- Lewiston’s signature event features work by more than 175 exceptional artists and fine crafters. Located just five miles north of Niagara Falls, the charming streets of picturesque Lewiston have long attracted visitors to our unique shops, restaurants and parks.

There was a great area set up for kids to make a craft from recycled materials from computer, camera and other stuff...my son found this very fun!!!

some of the final chalk art piece.

While I got to the show mainly for inspiration--being a lil artsy myself sometimes I find something I cannot make myself this time it was a nice fired pottery piece... made by Stacie Johnson-Leske

She has wonderful unique pieces and they can be custom ordered to fit your home.

If you are ever planning a August trip to the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area  Bring the whole family for a weekend of art, music, food, street performers, workshops, demonstrations. The event is the perfect way to celebrate your summer weekend. Center Street becomes pedestrian only for this two day festival.

  2. Art shows are so fun to walk around and see what everyone has made. We have a friend who is a potter so a lot of our dishes and mugs are made and fired by him. I adore pottery dishes.

  7. I love events like that, but there isn't anything like that near where I live. I'm sure my daughter would love that, as she is so artsy- more than me, I dare say :). Looks like you all had a good time :)
